Urban poverty is also one of the most challenging issues in development exacerbated by issues that we can impact, including housing affordability, jobs, and policies. A fundamental part of addressing urban poverty is about respect for the rights of poor people to be in the city and the ability to trade. It is about promoting the concept of an inclusive city and providing space and services for everyone at all levels – national, local, and community.
