At the start of any behaviour change project, it is imperative that we gain a good understanding of the problem. Part of understanding the problem involves understanding the system that the problem sits within. Systems mapping brings together the various groups, organisations, and individuals involved in our project, and can be performed with key stakeholders. Finally, systems mapping helps us gain a broader perspective on the problem, and can contest our biases and assumptions.
In this video, we will explore the benefits of systems thinking, gain insight into how systems maps are created, and learn about how these maps can help you identify a target audience with which to work, to address your behaviour change challenge.
