Stability of the Financial System

The evidence shows that Islamic banking withstood the shocks of the global financial crisis much better than its conventional counterpart. For the financial system stability, there is a need to increase the diversity of Islamic financial institutions to ones that use equity modes of financing and to increase the use of equity modes of financing within existing Islamic banks.
