A key part of negotiation preparation is familiarity with standard and specific contractual terms, particularly from peer countries with comparable extractive sectors and of the company with whom the host country is negotiating. In this session Nicola Woodroffe and Tehtena Mebratu-Tsegaye walk participants through the ResourceContracts.org database, an online, searchable repository of more than 2,500 contract documents from almost 100 countries.
