Introduction to the SDGs and Cities

An introduction to the course Cities and the Challenge of Sustainable Development. Jeffrey Sachs provides an overview of the SDGs and how they relate to cities, including SDG 11 ("make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable"). In this chapter, he briefly describes the importance of creating sustainable living spaces and what we can expect from a future that is built on the principles of economic prosperity, social inclusion, and environmental sustainability.
