Terrestrial and Inland Freshwater Ecosystems, Part II

Terrestrial ecosystems have very close connections with inland freshwater ecosystems in terms of both flora and fauna; to protect a fishery, protect a flooded forest. Forests that occur alongside ricers are called riparian forests; they create a buffer between agricultural zones and water bodies. The same goes for boreal forests and any others that have a close interconnection between forests and inland freshwater.
