In this chapter, Edgar Galrao discusses transport, which accounts for more than a quarter of CO2 emissions in the world and is an important part of the decarbonization of the economy in the Paris Climate Agreement. Transport is heavily reliant on fossil fuels, which makes it a key challenges and priority for government and business in the fight against climate change. He discusses three main vectors to achieve lower emissions in the transport sector, which are called Avoid, Shift, and improving efficiency. He also discusses below50, which is a global movement on low-carbon fuels from the LCTPi.
