Global Value Chains

In this chapter, Professor Sachs discusses the movement of products long distances through multinational companies, as well as the challenges presented by the global scales of production for many products nowadays. He explores issues that arise in terms of working conditions, consumer responsibility, gender equality, terrestrial degradation, and others. The discussion focuses on responsibility along the chain to uphold standards.
