In this chapter, Professor Sachs discusses infrastructure building, which is essential for many of the key challenges faced in the transformation from business-as-usual to sustainable development. He explores how many of these challenges are not restricted by borders, including transport and trade, rivershed management, and infectious diseases. This is illustrated with examples of projects for global cooperation including the Belt and Road Initiative, the Global Energy Interconnection Development Cooperation Organization, and others.
